The Refuge du Bon Larron in Chaumont is a real peace haven, on the forest edge. It sleeps 28 (dormitory), with living room and refectory. Ideal accommodation for holiday camps, family gatherings, etc. The region is a paradise for rambling in summer and for cross-country skiing in winter (Le Bon Larron is in close proximity to the skiing trails). Open all year round. Easy access by public transport: funicular at La Coudre to Chaumont and then about five minutes' walk. Well worth a visit: the panoramic tower in Chaumont and its wonderful view on the three lakes and Le Sentier du temps (the time trail, a didactic footpath).
